no cutouts or bellies showing. Recitals are ONE DAY ONLY and Videotaping is allowed at Recital!! Our class pricing has

During the 2017-2018 dance year, the studio performed at many local and regional venues and we believe in giving back
to our community. Over the past 8years we have collected over $6000 dollars for various charities and donated more than
600 inches of hair.

Though we are NOT a “competition studio” but we do offer students in certain levels, the opportunity to participate in 3-4
Competitions a year. Students in competition must also be in a Ballet class in addition to their other classes.
The year ended with a celebration of our 8th year recital “Better Together”. All those who attended said it was “one of the
best organized, wonderfully choreographed, entertaining recitals they have ever been to.”
Dance Action of Newtown is going into our NINTH year and we are so excited for this year.

Beginning in December/January, students will start to work on dances for the recital. This is a very exciting time as
students start to put together steps they have learned and continue to learn to choreographed dances that will be
performed on stage in front of an audience. Attendance at classes is very important.
Participation in recital is not mandatory. If a child does not want to participate in recital please notify the director as soon
as possible.

The recital is held in mid-June within the Council Rock School District. There are 2 shows on that day. Children in
Creative Dance, Beginner Dance, Boys Hip Hop and Level 1 classes are only in ONE SHOW. All other classes participate
in BOTH SHOWS. Those students in competition are on BOTH SHOWS. Rehearsal for the show is held on the Thursday
or Friday before the show.

During the dance year there will be opportunities for students to dance in the community. When the opportunities arise
emails will be sent out and those who wish to participate can. It is not mandatory to participate.

Students in Beginner Dance and up are invited to participate each year in competition with the studio. This is not
mandatory but it is a commitment from both the student and parent. There are no try outs or auditions. There are fees
associated with this and it involves weekend time from November through May. Children in competition are required to
take Ballet
