About Us

Our staff comprises professional and dance educated instructors. We instruct children at a level of learning that is both fun and technical. We do not use inappropriate songs during any class or recital and all of our costumes are appropriate with no cutouts or bellies showing. Recitals are ONE DAY ONLY and Videotaping is allowed at Recital!! Our class pricing has NOT increased in many years and our instructors are all dedicated to your child’s growth as a dancer.
During the 2016-2017 dance year, the studio performed at many local and regional venues and we believe in giving back to our community. Over the past 7years we have collected over $4000 dollars for various charities and donated more than 400 inches of hair.

Though we are NOT a “competition studio” but we do offer students in certain levels, the opportunity to participate in 3-4 Competitions a year. Students in competition must also be in a Ballet class in addition to their other classes. In 2016/2017 we attended True Talent, Beyond the Stars, and Dance Explosion competitions. We received multiple choreography awards, judge’s awards, first place awards, and Platinum and Elite awards and our own Sarah R was crowned “Miss True Talent”!!!!

The year ended with a celebration of our 7th year recital “We’re Dancing”. All those who attended said it was “one of the best organized, wonderfully choreographed, entertaining recitals they have ever been to.”
Dance Action of Newtown is going into our EIGHT year and we are so excited for this year. We have added a Contemporary Class and our instructors are spending summer developing new ideas and choreography to challenge and develop your child into the dancer they want to be. A lot is planned and we hope you can join us and be a part of this wonderful studio.
